Spartacus: Vengeance - Liam McIntyre as Spartacus

 
Australian actor Liam McIntyre makes his debut in the highly coveted title role of Spartacus in the STARZ Original series “Spartacus: Vengeance.” “Vengeance,” the second season, follows the bloody escape from the House of Batiatus that concluded “Spartacus: Blood and Sand.”

He has enjoyed a diverse career in theater, television and film, since beginning his acting career in Ireland as the lead in a production of Shakespeare’s “Measure for Measure.” His theater credits also include “12 Angry Men,” “Proof,” “Twelfth Night,” “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” “Much Ado About Nothing” and “Macbeth: Rearisen,” which won the Green Room Award for best independent production.

His television credits include his role as Sergeant Matt Connor in the Australian series “Rush,” as well as Bradley Hewson on Australia’s longest running drama “Neighbours.” McIntyre made his U.S. debut as Bell Captain Lew in HBO’s Emmy®– and Golden Globe–nominated hit “The Pacific.”

In film, he has portrayed Luke Delaney in The Dream Children and Simon in Ektopos. In his work behind the scenes, McIntyre wrote and produced the highly awarded short film Shotgun. He is also an accomplished singer, musician, dancer and multi-sport athlete.

He splits his time between Melbourne, Australia, and Auckland, New Zealand.
